Blackbird Restaurant has long been known by the local residents as a taste of Europe in their own backyard.

A passion for food

Long-time Perth resident Aiden Nawaz is the new proud owner of Blackbird.

Aiden’s passion for the hospitality industry and engagement with customers has led to the success of his other restaurant, Trattoria Galetto in Subiaco.

“I’m very big on customer engagement and receiving feedback from my restaurants.

This is something I am very proud of and want to replicate with Blackbird.

This guarantees that our focus is 100% on our customers satisfaction and enjoyment when visiting my establishments,” says Nawaz. “Trattoria Galetto has 45,000 Facebook followers which is unheard of in this industry, largely because of our engagement, great service and food. This is something I am very proud of and want to replicate with Blackbird.”

Taking over an established restaurant from a long-time owner can be a bit daunting at first.

“We are going to be offering craft beers on tap, which is something new for this restaurant. Our outdoor terrace with views over the lake is the ultimate spot to sit back and relax with great company.”
