Taste the fusion of traditional Italian flavours and modern style cooking now at Claisebrook Cove

Restaurant – Gioia on the River, East Perth

When Andrea De Luca became the maître d’ of the luxurious celebrity hangout Gstaad Palace Hotel in Switzerland at the age of 21, little did he know where this opportunity would take him.

After some time in New Zealand, where he met and married Lofa, the couple decided to relocate to Perth. Andrea followed his passion for food and spent 3 years perfecting his culinary knowledge in well-known local establishments before making the decision with Lofa to go out on their own.

Sharing their love of food

For over 8 years, Andrea and Lofa have run the extremely successful Andiamo Café in Rockingham, winning multiple awards including Best Restaurant in W.A twice, the Nautical Bronze Medal, numerous nominations for the Gold Plate in W.A., and recognition from the Marchio Ospitalita Italiano for traditional Italian food.

Now they are opening their new traditional Italian restaurant, Gioia On The River, in The Majestic Building on Royal Street, Claisebrook Cove.

Andrea has named his new restaurant “Gioia on the River”. “Gioia means ‘joy’ in Italian, and we thought it was the perfect name for our perfect new location”.

Why Gioia?

Gioia means ‘joy’ in Italian and is the perfect name for the restaurant.

“Lofa came up with the name after discussions with our daughter.”

“In Italy, food is a celebration. It brings family and friends together to share laughs and create memories” Andrea says. “What better place to share the joy and enjoy beautiful, authentic Italian food, then here with the sparkling water views watching dolphins play.”

Seek guidance and help

Before starting this new chapter in their lives, Andrea wanted some expert help and advice to make sure their vision could be a reality.

“CapitalQ are amazing and always there when we need them. Their professionalism, honesty, energy, understanding and wanting to help us succeed sets them apart. The business structures they set up for us will maximise our profitability while legally paying the minimum in tax as the business grows” says Andrea.

Come by and say ciao

Gioia’s grand opening is set for early July and Andrea and Lofa want to invite all CapitalQ Community Members to come in and say “ciao”.
