Professional profile

I am a Qualified CPA, approaching 8 years of experience in Australian taxation.

I am super passionate about learning new skills. At this stage in my career I am interested in expanding my professional experience by seeking new challenges in advising small business owners and those looking to build a secure financial future!

I was eager to join the CapitalQ Team when I learned they were recruiting back in 2019 as I was keen to start a new chapter in my life.

In my opinion, CapitalQ has two unique strengths.  The first is the focus on business building, including a passion for small business marketing.  The other is innovation, and always looking for ways to improve our Client’s business processes. Both are aimed at helping our Clients grow their businesses and achieve their financial goals.

I have a passion for working with small business owners, I also love assisting clients with all manner of queries, from simple everyday accounting requests, right through to more complex taxation and compliance issues. With my ever expanding knowledge and experience, and a natural ability to bring out the best in my Team, I believe I am able to deliver great service to a range of Clients across varying industries including mining, property and construction, hospitality and professional services.

Personal profile

As I suggested above, I love to stretch myself both professionally, and personally, so I am always seeking out new skill sets in both areas of my life.

Outside of work that currently includes functional training, stand up paddle boarding, surfing, and in winter, Zumba Classes.

I also recently entered the property market for the first time, and of course I am very house proud.  So I am learning new skills as I renovate my garden, and now having my own place I am also loving my new food processors and generally finding new ways to eat well, which helps keep me fit and healthy.

As you can probably see, I am a lover of the great outdoors, and enjoy exploring my adopted home of Australia whenever possible.

I also believe I am a good listener, and therefore I enjoy socialising with friends and hearing all about their lives, both the good and the bad.

As you might expect from an Accountant, I am very organised and routine driven.  Weekends are used to catch up on the little things around the house that if not done would keep me from feeling and, therefore performing, my best come Monday morning.

Speaking of, my morning routine always kicks off with a perfectly brewed cup of tea!
