Professional profile

I am a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with over five years of post-qualification experience, complemented by an additional three years of extensive internship exposure.

I completed my CA qualification in 2018 from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Delhi, which facilitated the successful completion of the membership examination from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) in 2022.

I have since achieved membership with Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ) through the International Pathway Program as of 2024. 

As part of my ongoing commitment to professional development, I am working towards achieving my Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification through The Tax Institute. I hope to be just the second team member at CapitalQ to achieve this designation (after Duncan)! 

Currently, I serve as an Assistant Client Manager in Kapil’s Team having worked my way up from Tax Accountant when I joined CapitalQ in June 2023. Under Kapil’s mentorship, I specialise in servicing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), managing Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs), and advising clients on tax planning strategies. I am actively involved in tax planning meetings and various advisory services, collaborating closely with my team to provide tailored solutions. 

I am continually driven to expand my expertise in taxation and advisory matters, and I am deeply appreciative of the support provided by the Directors and my fellow Team Members at CapitalQ, which has been instrumental in my professional and personal growth. 

Personal profile

I hail from Nepal, the land of mountains, a place that has shaped my values and perspectives. Since 2020, I have been happily married to my wonderful partner, Rupa, who is also an accountant and an incredible support system in both my personal and professional life. I attribute much of my success to the sacrifices and unwavering support of my parents, whose dedication has been the foundation of my achievements.

Outside of work, I am a passionate Manchester United supporter and an avid soccer fan. Recently, I have developed a keen interest in swimming, which has become a vital part of my fitness regime, promoting both physical and mental well-being. I also enjoy watching cricket and value the time spent socialising with friends. Travel is another passion of mine, and I have had the privilege of visiting several beautiful locations across Nepal and India, which has enriched both my personal and professional experiences.
